🎲Mental Arithmetic 🧮Playing with math

This activity was a favorite of the students during the course, as they tested their math skills while playing with the supermarket, but we also added to the game a restaurant, so the students had to perform various activities developing and applying mental arithmetic and the use of the abacus as some had to act as the bank, others as those who attended the supermarket and gave change, others as diners, waiters and chefs. The students were changing roles so that everyone could play the role they wanted.

Each color of the chips represented a different value that the students themselves assigned in order to make the purchases and give the necessary change.

Esta actividad fue de las favoritas de los alumnos durante el curso, ya que ponían a prueba sus habilidades matemáticas mientras jugaban con en el supermercado de Peones, pero además agregamos al juego un restaurante, por lo que los alumnos debían de realizar diversas actividades desarrollando y aplicando el cálculo mental y el uso del ábaco ya que algunos debían fungir como el banco, otros como los que atendían el supermercado y daban el cambio, otros como los comensales, meseros y chefs. Los alumnos iban haciendo cambio de roles para que todos pudieran jugar con el rol que quisieran.

Cada color de las fichas representaba un valor diferente que los mismo alumnos asignaron para poder hacer las compras y dar el cambio necesario.
